Sheep were permitted in the agricultural fields of Bethlehem when the wheat harvest was completed as their bodily functions served to provide needed fertilizer for the next year’s crop. Since the wheat harvest of Bethlehem was completed in June, could Jesus have been a summer birth? Might there be additional reasons to support such a proposition?
