Indeed, to the extent that discourse is implicitly dramatic—a matter of doing things by saying things—my earlier focus on divine authorial discourse was already theodramatic. What remains constant, then, between earlier and later Vanhoozer is the emphasis on the Spirit speaking in the Scriptures.
