shining face, to reflect his glory. Not only that, but it is to absorb his glory, to be transformed into his likeness. Like film in a camera, when the shutter opens to the light, we bear the likeness of the One who shines his light on us when we pray. Perhaps one reason God delays his answers to our prayers is because he knows we need to be with him far more than we need the things we ask of him.
