not indeed practice, what we know as eisegesis, that is, “reading [meaning] into” the text. The result is a flat Bible in which ideas found elsewhere in Scripture are equal to similar ideas found in all parts of the Bible in part and in the whole. It is not that such preachers act as if they do not possess the full canon of Scripture or as if God were not the author of it in its entirety, but it is rather that their methodology is flawed.
