Second, Paul tells the Colossians that God “has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation” (Col 1:22). The words in italics translate the Greek word for “blameless” in Titus 1:6, 7. Again, Paul is not predicating sinless perfection of the Colossians or suggesting that they are above all criticism in how they live—Paul himself is critical of them (Col 2:20).
