Jeremiah’s “I will write it [my Law] on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people” (Jer. 31:33) is more or less equivalent to Ezekiel’s “I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh, so that they may follow my statutes and keep my ordinances and obey them” (Ezek. 11:19–20).
