Deuteronomy isn’t necessarily the covenant document; it is a telling of the covenant document story. But Moses chooses to tell the story of how the covenant came to be using the elements that were used in a covenant. It’s really exciting in that way. We can also see the elements of covenant in a lot of different ways—both on a macro level through the book and on a micro level.
