Torah can also refer to the so-called “legal” sections of the OT. I put that in air quotes because some people don’t like to talk about this as legal material. We will talk later in the course about why that is and what is this material really. These things are the parts of law that say, “Thou shalt do this,” or “Thou shalt not do this,” or “If a man does this, then he should …” Those are the parts we’re familiar with. These are found in Exodus; they’re found in Leviticus; they’re found in Deuteronomy.
