Being hated by the world is one of the certain marks of being of that inner circle of Christ’s beloved ones. Then there is another mark. “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me.” (John 6:37). These words may have a much deeper meaning than we may at first think. No one comes to Jesus that does not forsake all else besides.
