Another thing that’s noteworthy is that Paul doesn’t just address the church at Philippi, but he also specifically mentions the overseers and deacons. And that’s, again, something that we should kind of put in in the back of our mind and think about, because he has done that for some reason. We don’t see him doing that in any of the other letters, so we should pay attention and say, “Why would he have done this?” and wait for this to fit in somewhere in the letter.
