The structure of 1 Corinthians is actually agreed upon much more so by commentators than with most of Paul’s letters, and most of Paul’s letters are fairly clearly structured. It’s clear that this letter is a kind of response to a checklist of issues that Paul believes the Corinthians need further instruction on. The first six chapters appear to respond to the oral reports of the household of Chloe, which has come to visit him as we learned in 1:11. And from 7:1 to the end of the letter are a series
