There couldn’t be greater blindness in terms of the hometown people of Nazareth than their failure to see that God’s deliverance and God’s program and God’s plan is for all people. This echoes back to the genealogy that goes all the way back to Adam. It echoes back to the introduction of John the Baptist’s ministry in chapter 3, in which all flesh shall see the salvation of God. It echoes into the idea that Jesus has come not just to save Israel, but to save all the nations, and it is something that
