In Romans 3:24–27, he asks: “Having been justified freely by his grace through the redemption which is by Christ Jesus (whom God displayed publicly as a sacrifice which would turn aside his wrath) through faith in his blood …, where then is boasting?” Here in a single context where “redemption” is the governing idea for the whole, Paul speaks of that redemption as “by Christ Jesus” and “in his blood,”
