PETER’S TESTIMONY Peter writes: “you were not redeemed [ἐλυτρώθητε, elytrōthēte, “ransomed”] with perishable things, such as silver and gold … but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect” (1 Pet. 1:18–19).
