9. Scripture contradicts the proposition that only uncaused decisions are morally responsible. As we saw in chapter 5, God in Scripture often brings about the free actions, and even the sinful actions, of human beings, without in the least diminishing their responsibility. Often, indeed, Scripture speaks of divine foreordination and human responsibility in connection with the same actions in the same contexts.
