The Proclamations of Three Angels
6 Then I saw another angel mflying in the midst of heaven, nhaving the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—oto every nation, tribe, tongue, and people—7 saying with a loud voice, p“Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; qand worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.”
8 And another angel followed, saying, r“Babylon 6is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because sshe has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”
9 Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, t“If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his umark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he himself vshall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is wpoured out full strength into xthe cup of His indignation. yHe shall be tormented with zfire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 And athe smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”
12 bHere is the 7patience of the saints; chere 8are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
13 Then I heard a voice from heaven saying 9to me, “Write: d‘Blessed are the dead ewho die in the Lord from now on.’ ”
“Yes,” says the Spirit, f“that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow gthem.”
About The New King James VersionThe New King James Version is a total update of the 1611 King James Version, also known as the "Authorized Version." Every attempt has been made to maintain the beauty of the original version while updating the English grammar to contemporary style and usage. The result is much better "readability." It is noteworthy that the NKJV is one of the few modern translations still based on the "Western" or "Byzantine" manuscript tradition. This makes the New King James Version an invaluable aid to comparative English Bible study. |
