The same theme is developed in Nebuchadnezzar’s praise after he recovered from a madness given as divine judgment: “How great are his [God’s] signs, how mighty his wonders! His kingdom is an eternal kingdom; his dominion endures from generation to generation” (Da 4:3). The overarching sovereignty of God may not always be expressed in mighty
