In the Hebrew Bible, the book of Malachi is the last of the Book of the Twelve, or the Minor Prophets, and the final book of Nebi’im, the “Prophets,” which is the second section of the Hebrew Bible, directly preceding the book of Psalms in the Ketubim, “Writings” (the third section of the Hebrew Bible). In most English versions, Malachi is the last book of the prophetic literature and of the Old Testament and thus directly precedes the New Testament. There is no biographical information
