V. THE COVENANT CONFIRMED BY THE MESSIAH—(Dan 9:27). The “people of the prince” (v 26) were the Romans under Titus, and they were God’s instruments to punish the Christ-rejecting Jewish people. There is NO HINT of any “Second Coming of Christ” in these verses (vs. 24-26), yet the Dispensationalists try to force this “foreign element” into this whole passage. For instance, they say “the prince” (vs. 26), as well as “he” (vs. 27), is “The Antichrist,” and he has not yet been revealed to the world.
