The New American Bible is the most commonly used Catholic Bible in the United States, where it forms the basis for the readings used at Mass. Translated from the original languages by the Catholic Biblical Association of America, the NAB was first published in 1970 and revised in 1986 (New Testament) and 1991 (Psalms). It includes introductions and extensive notes.
