he is “mighty to save.” This is coming to him. Since he is a Saviour, let him fulfil his office upon you. You greatly need saving, give him the opportunity of showing what he is able to do. Say within your own soul, “I the chief of sinners am; lost, ruined, and undone. Behold, I come to him. If I perish, I will perish trusting in him.” It cannot be that a soul can die relying upon Jesus; sooner shall heaven and earth pass away than Jesus fail to save the soul that trusteth in him.
