All Christians are indeed priests (1 Pe 2:9; Re 1:6), because they offer spiritual sacrifices to God. Everyone also can and should teach the Word of God in his own house (Dt. 6:7; 1 Cor. 14:35). Nevertheless, not everyone ought to take and arrogate to himself the public ministry of Word and sacrament.
