Was Paul’s invitation to Timothy a call to the ministry or just an invitation to come and be a part of the ministry? Paul recruited at least 17 others that we know by name, plus there probably were more that partnered with him that we don’t know all about. But there is no indication of someone who had a special call directly by Jesus after the resurrection except Paul. There were others that were called, but they were called by other disciples.
