Daniel, rather than through a pagan king. Also the symbolism in Daniel’s dream differs from the imagery in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream (chapter 2). Whereas Nebuchadnezzar saw a giant image or statue, with various parts that represented a series of world empires, Daniel saw a collection of beasts and creatures.
