The angels asked why these disciples, “men of Galilee” (only Judas5 was of Judea), stood gazing into heaven. This implies they were straining their eyes as if they hoped to see into heaven where Jesus had gone. Christ’s first coming was fulfilled. His work of redemption was complete.
