The taking, the reaching out for what was forbidden, is the point of no return. The overturned hand, no longer receiving but taking, marks the tipping point where the stewards’ activity betrays their identity. As the hand rolls over, reaches, grasps, takes, eats, and gives, the transition from steward to presumed owner is complete; however, there has been no transfer of ownership.
