In Acts 5:30, 31, Peter voiced the same confession by pointing out that God raised Jesus and exalted (ὕψωσεν) Him as Leader and Savior. The discourse structure on John 3:16–18 (units 5, 6, and 7 of section B of the discourse outline) validates the semantic play of the meanings of ὑψόω as a legitimate inference.
