Others are talking about concepts, such as management and leadership 2.0, when we’re shifting away from just a focus on the organization and its goals, to a focus on the needs of the people of these communities. And the reality is, leaders in our day, particularly ministry leaders, need to be able to face into these realities by staying both rooted and being relevant—that is, connecting to both ancient wisdom but doing so in a way that is facing into the realities of our contemporary context.
