So there are four key variables that are noted along path-goal leadership’s trajectory. First is defining the goals—where are we aiming people along the way? What are the goals?—and setting and defining those goals. Second is clarifying the path. How are going to move from point a to point b? What is the pathway of moving towards these goals? The third is recognizing that almost always there’s going to be obstacles along the way, and how do we as leaders provide pathways that help remove obstacles
