Paul’s greetings in Titus are the longest of any of his letters besides Rom 1:1–7. In Greek, the greeting in Titus is one long, complicated sentence. The language of the greeting reflects Paul’s other letters, where he identifies himself as an apostle or servant of Jesus Christ (Gal 1:1; Eph 1:1; Phil 1:1; Col 1:1). Like the greetings in 1 and 2 Timothy, Paul’s greeting to Titus includes a brief note about the gospel message and an acknowledgement of the special relationship
