In 1 Corinthians 2:1–5 Paul concludes his explanation of the cross that goes back to 1 Cor 1:18. Having expounded on the theology of the cross in the previous verses, he describes how his time of ministry among the Corinthians serves as proof of his argument in the preceding section (see Ciampa and Rosner 2010, 112).
