Jerahmeelites (יְרַחְמְאֵלִי, yerachme'eliy). The descendants of Jerahmeel, of the tribe of Judah (1 Sam 27:10; 30:29). King David told Achish, king of Gath, that he was raiding his own people, including the “Negev of the Jerahmeelites,” while he was actually conquering Philistine villages (1 Sam 27:10). David included the Jerahmeelites among the recipients of spoil distributed from Ziklag.
