Delilah (דְּלִילָה, delilah). Delilah was the primary romantic interest of the Israelite judge Samson. Conspiring with the Philistines, Delilah seduced Samson into sharing the secret of his supernatural strength, leading to his capture.
Judges 16:4–22 recounts Delilah’s interactions with the judge Samson, concluding with her fourth and finally successful attempt to betray him to the Philistines for money.
