Cyprus (כִּתִּים, kittim, Κύπρος, Kypros). Third-largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. Located in the northeast corner of the Mediterranean. Approximately 70 kilometers south of modern-day Turkey, 125 kilometers west of Syria/Palestine, and 425 kilometers north of Egypt. The island is 225 kilometers long and 80 kilometers wide at its widest point. One of the first locations during Paul’s first missionary journey.
