The Lexham Bible Dictionary (Biblia.com)

Aten, Hymn To Also known as the Great Hymn to Aten. One of a number of hymn-poems written to the deified sun-disk, Aten, during Pharaoh Akhenaten’s attempt to enforce monotheism in Egypt (1358–1340 bc). It was found inscribed on the west wall of the tomb of the courtier Ay at Tell El-Amarna and extols Aten as the only creator and sustainer of the world. Similarities in language between the Hymn to Aten and Psalm 104 have led some scholars to speculate about a possible literary connection between the two (see discussion in Allen, Psalms 101–150, 40–41).
