The Use of the Reciprocal Pronoun ἀλλήλων (allēlōn, “one another”)
The reciprocal pronoun expresses mutuality on the part of those addressed in context. Each of the author’s uses relates either to fellowship (1:7) or love (the remainder of uses).
The Reciprocal Pronoun ἀλλήλων (allēlōn, “one another”) in 1 John:
