If Neusner is correct, Judaism is about “doing” while Christianity is about “being.” This sets up a new field for consideration. I might also reduce the idea to suggest that Judaism is about “obeying” whereas Christianity is concerned with “believing.” If the two views are combined, we see Judaism focused on doing what God demands in the Torah, while Christians are moved to know the truth and be like Jesus.
