It is the body and its present condition to which Paul points with the term “earthy.” The phrase, “And as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly” presents the other side which is Christ, “The Second Man.” He is “The Heavenly One,” and all others who are “the heavenly ones” are like Him. Even though Paul does not state how this heavenly quality is obtained, we know that it is by Grace through Regeneration
