Back in Geneva in the Spring of 1558 he settled down once again to his pastoral duties, preaching, writing and publishing. It was during this period that he worked out his theory of ‘a godly revolution’ which was to bear much fruit over the centuries. The book he had written while in Dieppe was published anonymously without author, publisher or place.
