Concluding Practical Advice and Encouragement (5:6–11) This section begins by taking up the wording of 5:5 and developing the point further. Intended as a conclusion to the whole section on facing up to hostility (3:13–5:11), since suffering is the real theme of the whole letter, it also forms an appropriate conclusion to the whole letter. It falls into three sections. Verses 6–7 treat the Christians’ relation to God: they must maintain a humble attitude before him and put all their cares into his
