At issue in this study is the connection of two important theological disciplines: pneumatology and ecclesial ethics. I plan to argue that the spiritual gift of discerning of spirits is foundational to ecclesial ethics and conversely that ethical discernment is a fundamental key to discerning the spiritual cosmos.
