The revelation will therefore remain free-flowing, added to from time to time. Her previous nudges in the direction of Hermas’ duty to communicate the message (1.3; 2.3–4, 6; 3.6 above) now become quite specifically localized. The debate has raged among scholars about this Clement: is he or is he not Clement
