The Man of Sin in Thessalonians is one who “opposes” God. The antichrist of John is one who “denies” that Jesus is come in the flesh. These are but a few of the Scriptural observations that are patent on the surface. There are, of course, more fundamental reasons for rejecting the Dispensational interpretation. Most objectionable is their contention that the Holy Spirit is the “Hinderer” who is to be taken away prior to the revelation of the Man of Sin. Never does the Bible refer to the Holy Spirit
