Mary was told by the angel that the tomb, where no man had lain,273 had brought forth the risen Christ. Joseph274 of Arimathea had taken the body of Jesus and wrapped it in linen bands,275 laying Him in a tomb hewn in stone.276 Jesus was wrapped in cloth bands after He received the bloody wound of the crucifixion.277 Now Peter heard from the women the things announced by angels.278
