During the months following the challenge I made that investigation; and after eliminating every possibility of the use of some form of mesmerism, hypnosis, or other means of trickery, I came to the place where I had to agree with the great religious leader Nicodemus, who, in the third chapter of the Gospel of John, said to Jesus, ‘No man can do the miracles that thou doest except God be with him’ (v. 2, KJV). Like Nicodemus, I could no longer question the authenticity of Jesus Christ.
