In Gal 4:4 Paul refers to Jesus and says that God sent forth his Son “when the fulness of the time (τὸ πλήρωμα τοῦ χρόνου) was come.” In various other passages Paul uses another Greek word for time, καιρός, kairos, which means a definite or fixed time, and hence can signify an opportune time, as in Gal 6:10, or even the eschatological end time as in 1 Cor 4:5.
