A verb may receive verbal suffixes; therefore, instead of having the personal pronoun on the direct object marker following the verb, it can be attached directly to the verb with no change in meaning. Examples: רָאִיתִי אֹתוֹ רְאיתִיהוּ “I saw him” הָרַג אֹתָהּ הֲרָגָהּ “he killed her” The reflexive nouns (i.e., myself, himself) do not take suffixes since they are expressed by the reflexive conjugations (i.e., Niphal, Hithpael).
