The short vowels of the original case endings which were present in Ugaritic, Akkadian, and Classic Arabic were lost by the time of biblical Hebrew (possibly by 1000 B.C.), thus the order of the Hebrew sentence is extremely important as in English since sometimes it is the only way to determine the various parts of the sentence. I. NORMAL HEBREW WORD ORDER IN A MAIN CLAUSE The normal order of the Hebrew sentence is as follows: “In the beginning God created
