A demonstrative adjective indicates someone or something is being singled out for attention. Examples: “This man” or “This is the man.” Examples: הָאִישׁ הַזֶּה “this man” זֶה הָאִישׁ “this is the man” SINGULAR Near Demonstratives Mas. זֶה “this” Fem. זֹאת “this” PLURAL Mas. אֵ֣לֶּה “these” Fem. אֵ֣לֶּה “these” Far Demonstratives Mas. הוּא “that” Fem. הִיא “that” Mas. הֵ֣מָּה (הֵם) “those” Fem. הֵ֣נָּה (הֵן) “those” They are also treated like ordinary adjectives
