anger against such nations. God says that government officials are appointed by God to be His servants (Romans 13:1–7). A servant is one who is not left with any choice other than to obey his master. When a servant does not obey, he is soundly punished. Because the leaders of many nations think that they can rule by ignoring God, He has no choice but to discipline them with a rod of correction.
